Measuring Tips: Brackets

How many brackets do I need?

Each collection will include 2 or 3 brackets, depending on rod length. Rods at 80" or below will include 2 end brackets. Rods over 80" and up to 160" will also include a center bracket. We highly recommend the center bracket supports the seam of a spliced rod.

Bracket Types

The 9 collections with endcaps or finials will also include 2 Standard Single brackets. Standard Single brackets are very strong and hide well behind drapery panels. Backplace width is 3/4". Backplate height is 3" for a 3/4" diameter rod and 3 1/2" for 1" and 1 1/4" diameter rods.

The Argonne Collection with French curved returns will include 2 Post brackets. Backplate width matches the rod diameter. Backplate height is 3" for a 3/4" diameter rod and 3 1/2" for 1" and 1 1/4" diameter rods.

A Center Single bracket will be included with any rod that exceeds 80". Center single brackets have a horizontal backplate (3" wide x 1 1/2" tall) that allows the rod to be mounted closer to the window trim and tends to hide better behind the rod.

All mounting holes are 1/4" diameter.

Bracket Clearances

All clearances are 3". Clearance is defined as the distance from the wall to the back of the rod.
