What is Highland Forge Collections? How is it different from Highland Forge Custom?
Highland Forge Collections bundles the most popular drapery hardware items from our Custom site into easy-to-order packages with fewer customization options. You can expect the same high-quality and craftsmanship! Products from Collections and Custom cannot be combined in the same shopping cart. Also note that while pictured, drapery is not included with any Collection.
+
Where are your products made?
Our products are handcrafted and finished at our facility in Atlanta, GA by a skilled team of fabricators.
+
What are your lead times?
Our production lead times are currently 3-4 weeks. UPS Ground Shipping typically takes 1 to 5 business days depending on your location. You will receive an automated email with a UPS tracking number when your order ships.
+
Do you ship outside the continental U.S.?
We do, but please be aware that shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, or other foreign countries may incur additional shipping charges.
+
How do you finish your hardware?
All our hardware is powder-coated. Powder-coating creates a durable, scratch resistant surface. It is an earth-friendly process that does not create any VOCs! Available finishes include Iron Black, Dark Bronze, Antique Brass, and Satin Nickel. Visit our Finishes page to order samples.
+
Do you offer French returns?
Yes! The Argonne Collection includes rods with curved French returns. Length is defined as the distance from the outside edge of one curved return to the outside edge of the other curved return. Unlike many on the market, our curved French returns have tight bends with zero deformity.
+
Do your rods telescope or adjust in length?
Never! All rods are cut to length. Rod lengths over 93” are spliced in half and include an internal splice connector. The hairline seam where the rod segments join is hidden by the center support bracket. Once installed, it looks like one continuous rod and will not sag! Visit our Tips & Resources page for additional information on our splicing system.
+
What rod lengths do you sell?
Rod lengths can be specified to the 1” with a maximum length of 160”. Rods lengths over 80” include a center support bracket. Rods lengths over 93” are spliced in half and include an internal splice connector. Note that finials add length to the rod ends. Visit our Tips & Resources page for additional information on finial lengths.
+
What rod diameters are available?
We offer the following rod diameters: ¾”, 1”, and 1 ¼”. ¾” offers a slim look while 1 ¼” offers an elegant “high-strength” look. Determining factors often include ceiling height and aesthetic preferences. If your rod length is close to 80” or 160” and you are hanging heavy panels, please consider a minimum rod diameter of 1”.
+
Are brackets included?
They are included. The Argonne Collection includes 2 Post brackets to mount the curved French returns, while the other Collections with finials include 2 Standard Single brackets. Any rod exceeding 80” will also include a Center Single bracket. Please visit the Tips & Resources page for more information on bracket dimensions.
+
Are mounting screws included?
Every order includes 2 wood screws per bracket. If purchased, the order will also include 2 SnapToggle anchors and machine screws per bracket. Wood screws are great for mounting into wood and SnapToggle anchors are great for mounting into hollow drywall, plaster, and other surfaces. It is very important to use the appropriate mounting hardware. Visit our Tips & Resources page for additional information, or feel free to contact us at (404) 752-7555 or sales@highlandforge.com.
+
How many rings do I need?
Every situation is different, but it is common for functional drapery to be 1.5x to 2x the length of the rod with a ring placed every 5” to 7”. Consider consulting with your drapery provider to determine an exact ring count.
+
Help! I didn’t order enough rings.
Please visit our Custom site to purchase additional rings. The ring sizes and finishes are the same as the Collections site. Buy 1 ¼” rings for a ¾” diameter rod, 1 ½” rings for a 1” diameter rod, or 2” rings for a 1 ¼” diameter rod. Rings are typically in stock and ship within a business day.
+
Can you help explain how to install?
Please visit our Tips & Resources page for detailed installation instructions and suggestions.
+
